Visit Nepal 2020

Visit Nepal 2020 Nepal government has decleared 2020 as “ Visit Nepal Year ”  with an aim to bring 2 million tourists. Previously similar campaign was held in 1998 as Visit Nepal  and 2011 as Nepal Tourism Year . Initially Visit Nepal 2020  was set to be held in 2018, which was postponed due to delay in reconstruction of heritage site damaged by the devastating earthquake of 2015. Reconstruction work is going smoothly with a goal to finish in 2020. The government has planned to complete the expansion of Tribhuvan International   Airport  and construction of Gautam Buddha Airport in Bhairahawa before the Visit Nepal Year. Likewise, the reconstruction of major heritage sites is expected to be completed before 2020.  For this, It needed a boost to promote  the tourism industry .
